My Story
As a last resort and desperate attempt to manage the side effect of a medication I was taking called akathisia, I found myself grappling with nicotine addiction after vaping. What started as a scientific-backed trial led to a daily dependency.
Today, I’m on the other side of the battle and have turned my experience into a passion to help others quit vaping for good, knowing the battle involved in quitting and the grip nicotine addiction can have can making it my mission to guide and support you along the way.
Throughout this blog, you’ll find educational content, practical steps to quit vaping, and resources to support your vape-free journey.
Here are some of the categories that I will be making available ever growing to stay up-to-date and listen to feedback of the community on what you may find most useful!

Educational Posts About Vaping
These posts are packed with actionable insights to educate and empower you in your quitting process – if that is the decision you choose to make based on an informed-decision basis. However, I also believe that this should be a means to an end and not a lifelong solution, and this stance is supported by the National Centre and Services for Smoking cessation (NCSCT) who advise consideration to quitting vaping should be considered after 12 months.
I will NOT be posting any scaremongering tactics, debunked myths (eg popcorn lung associated to vaping) or a biased presentation of evidence. I strongly adhere to an evidence and ethical based approach. Ultimately, the decision is yours about quitting, and providing information should be the first step in decision-making – and whatever that decision may be, it should be respected by everyone.
Health Risks of Vaping
Vaping is marketed as a safer alternative to smoking, and this is supported by the NICE – National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, who advise it is 95% safer than smoking. Therefore, for harm reduction from tobacco, I support its use to get people to quit cigarettes.
However, the long-term risks of vaping remain unknown. Furthermore, it should never be a habit taken up by children nor never-smokers – this message is clear.
You will find the current available evidence, and emerging evidence as and when it becomes available as to the health risks associated with vaping.
Practical Steps on How to Quit
Breaking free from vaping can be very difficult as it his a highly addictive substance. Some may be able to quit alone, but others will require support and guidance as to how to successfully quit – and this is what these posts will be for. You will find effective, actionable strategies to help you quit.
Signposting to Available Resources
Once you have made the decision quitting is right for you, don’t have to go through the journey alone! We will be signposting to helpful resources help support you during the withdrawal period, from WhatsApp communities, Facebook Groups, to more formal support support in health coaching, vaping therapists, and Allen Carr EasyWay groups.
Parents and Schools
Sadly, there is currently an epidemic of vaping use in children, although this is beginning to stabilise according to latest statistics. With their plastic growing brains, children are at high risk of the effects on nicotine and evidence has shown that children who vape have higher rates or subsequent learning, cognitive and developmental issues as per the World Health Organization.
I will be providing resources for both concerned parents and schools about how to manage children found vaping, and implementing preventative measures in the for of education.
My Personal Journey and Testimonies
Quitting vaping was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done — but also one of the most liberating and best decisions for my long-term health, namely mental health. What began as a desperate experiment turned into a year of nicotine dependency, worsening depression, and a change on a deeper level as to who I was given the sense of loss of control I had developed.
Today, I’m proud to say I’m vape-free. My passion for helping others drives me passionately and comes from firsthand experiences. If I can do it, so can you – and you will do, and I hope you gather inspiration from not just mine, but others success stories and what a vape free-life brings!
Mobile App Development – VapeFree
To make quitting even easier, we’re working on developing a comprehensive quit vaping app. This tool will include tracking features, motivational content, access to therapists, craving control and much more.
